Each September we pledge our support to Fire Door Safety Week, to help raise awareness of the critical role of fire doors. Last year we published an 8 point fire door ironmongery checklist to guide any responsible persons, whether that be facility managers or landlords, through the main items of ironmongery and door hardware to check on all fire-rated doors. It includes the required number of CE marked hinges per door, checking any electromagnetic hold open devices are functioning correctly for fire safety, the inclusion of intumescent seals and intumescent protection plus fitting the correct fire door signage.

In addition to traditional mortice lockcases, we also supply a wide range of access control products to restrict access, from mechanical digital locks, proximity readers, and access keypads, to power supply units (PSUs), exit buttons, and emergency break glass units.

Electric locking forms a key part of our product offering.  We have a variety of products for a wide range of applications. Examples include the Adams Rite 1354 shearmagnet which facilitates remote access and exit of most aluminium, timber, and steel doors and has a holding force of 1500kg. The Abloy effeff 351U80 is a fail unlocked 12V/24V DC electric lock suitable for both single and double action doors and is also available in a fire-rated version. Our most popular range of electric locking products is our maglocks, which include models that suit internal, external, or gate applications, fire-rated and non-fire rated versions, plus the associated brackets for inward opening door installation.
