GPA appoints strategic partners

Two new strategic partners have been appointed to provide professional services for the Government Property Agency’s (GPA) Capital Programmes.

The new contracts cover, design, and specialist services for the Government Hubs and Whitehall Campus Programmes and a variety of client funded projects. The strategic partners will work collaboratively with the GPA to deliver projects that will drive economic growth throughout the UK, help transform the civil service, contribute to wider greening government commitments and add value through a smaller, better and greener public estate.

Following a comprehensive procurement process via the Crown Commercial Services Estates Management Services framework, WSP has been awarded design services, and Tetra Tech has been awarded the specialist services.

The contracts are for an initial four-year term, with up to three-year extension options.

Clive Anderson, Director of Capital Projects at the Government Property Agency, said: “Our newly-appointed strategic partners will provide the GPA with industry-leading professional services support for up to seven years, enabling more efficient project delivery, greater value for money across the most diverse and challenging real estate programmes in the UK.

“Social value was a key element within this tender process, with a focus on tackling economic inequality through the creation of employment, training and growth in all regions of the UK; and driving sustainability benefits through net zero interventions.”

We will bring specialist techniques in secure buildings, heritage estates, net zero and decarbonisation.”
