ISS UK&I appoints Greg Nicoll as General Counsel

ISS UK & Ireland has appointed Greg Nicoll as General Counsel, effective 1 June 2026. Nicoll will report to ISS UK & Ireland CEO Scott Davies and will join the company’s Country Leadership Team (CLT) and ISS Group’s global Legal community.

In his new role, Nicoll will lead the UK & Ireland Legal team as it supports the achievement of ISS’s strategic objectives. In particular, he will strengthen ISS’ commercial, market, regulatory and internal risk identification, mitigation, and management framework, while also bringing his prior experience to bear by revisiting and optimising the company’s legal obligations throughout the commercial lifecycle.

Nicoll joins ISS in the summer from Serco, where he has held a range of commercial and leadership positions over a 13-year period, including General Counsel (UK & Europe), Commercial Director (UK & Europe) and for the last five years, Chief Legal & Risk Officer (UK & Europe).

A member of Serco’s UK & Europe Executive Leadership team and Global Legal Leadership team, Nicoll provided strategic leadership and direction to a legal, risk and contracts function, driving outcomes and enabling business success by leveraging his expertise and experience in areas including legal services, commercial contracts, risk management and compliance assurance.

Scott Davies, CEO, ISS UK & Ireland, commented: “At ISS, we are focused on delivering sustainable growth that benefits our clients through the creation of lasting, constructive partnerships, our colleagues through an approach that champions their wellbeing and development, and our company through the achievement of our strategic objectives.

“Greg brings with him not only the perfect blend of legal industry and commercial experience, but also a proven track record of dynamic, collaborative leadership — both of which will stand us in good stead as we build upon a strong foundation to create a strategic, ethical, growth-centred legal underpinning to all our activities.”

Nicoll, incoming General Counsel, commented: “Throughout my career, I have relished taking on complex, multi-disciplinary business challenges that encourage me and my teams to operate not only with a legal, but also with a commercial, operational, and industry-focused mindset.

“This new role offers me the opportunity to leverage my broad experience to tackle such challenges. More than this, it allows me to collaborate with a team of talented, motivated peers — in country and globally — within a culture that empowers us to work together for the benefit of all our stakeholders. I look forward to beginning this important work in June!”
