Precision FM in Westminster Chapel win

Precision Facilities Management has won a hard FM contract with Westminster Chapel, a Grade II Listed church and event space located in central London.

As well as its own thriving worshipping community, the Chapel is well known as a host venue for many Christian conferences and assemblies. Constructed in 1864, the multi-purpose space features Grade II Listed Victorian architecture married with contemporary design which includes one of Europe’s largest sustainable cork floors.

Under the terms of the deal, Precision FM will be providing the Chapel with a range of hard FM services including reactive and preventative maintenance as well as supporting on capital refurbishment projects.

Commenting on the contract award, Raymond Wong, Executive Pastor said: “We (Westminster Chapel) came to the realisation that we were devoting too many resources to managing our premises, which was taking away resources from our core charitable work.

“We are a Grade-II Listed building and have many different users of our space so an off-the-shelf solution wouldn’t work for us. We found in Precision FM a responsive team that demonstrated an understanding of our unique site and a willingness to work with us to ensure we could focus on what mattered most.”

Brij Thankey, CEO at Precision FM said: “We’re really pleased to have secured the contract to provide FM services to Westminster Chapel. Caring for a listed building requires skill and dedication and through the provision of effective facilities management, we’re looking forward to ensuring that the Chapel can continue to play a key role as a community hub for years to come.”

Metro Rod Drainage and Plumbing Survey

Planned, proactive maintenance is a keystone of every FM strategy. However, with current cost constraints, there are many demands on Facilities Managers’ maintenance budgets. When it comes to drainage and plumbing, however, the expense of repairing blockages or dealing with flooding could vastly exceed the cost of preventative maintenance.

Given your role as an FM Professional, we would love to hear your views, challenges & experiences, and opinions on drainage & plumbing within the workplace.

The survey will take just five minutes to complete and offers the chance to win an Amazon Gift Card Worth £100.
