Robertson wins £13.5m NHS contract

Robertson Facilities Management (RFM) has been appointed for the delivery of hard services at the University Hospital of North Durham, which runs until March 2028.

Following a competitive tender, RFM concluded contract documents and subsequently replaced the previous services provider. The team will provide a range of estate services for the 450-bed acute hospital.

Consort, who are the PFI partner of the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, selected RFM following a re-tender process and market test.

RFM welcomed the employees of the previous provider under a Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE) earlier this year.

Adrian Mole, Managing Director, Robertson Facilities Management, said: “As the selected delivery partner for Estates services, our concentration is on providing first-class services provision on behalf of Consort for the NHS, allowing the hospital to focus on delivering patient services.

“We look forward to a positive relationship with Consort in providing Estates services for the NHS.”

RFM is building a strong presence and reputation for service provision within the healthcare sector. This is the second project secured for the NHS in the past year, following an appointment by NHSBSA.
