Tork boosts its skincare range with three new soaps

Designed to meet customer demand for skincare products that are sustainable, hygienic, effective and pleasant to use are three new soaps from Tork manufacturer Essity.

The latest additions to the Tork skincare range will help companies to secure the new hygiene standard in a safe and sustainable way.

“Demand for sustainable products is on the rise and we at Tork are committed to developing products that support a circular society,” said Essity’s Pilar Jimenez, Skincare Product Manager Professional Hygiene. “Besides helping to secure the new hygiene standard, our new handwashing solutions are also designed to reduce environmental impact.”

Ninety-nine per cent of the ingredients of Tork Clarity Hand Washing Foam Soap are derived from natural origin. The soap lathers effectively during hand washing and is rinsed away quickly, reducing the amount of water used by up to 35 per cent. And the product formula is biodegradable and has a reduced impact on aquatic life.

Particularly suitable for use by chefs and other kitchen workers are Tork Odour-Control Hand Washing Liquid Soap and Tork Antimicrobial Liquid Soap. Tork Odour-Control eliminates pungent food smells such as fish and garlic while also being kind to the hands – even when used frequently.

Tork Antimicrobial Hand Washing Liquid Soap contains plant-based ingredients and is highly effective against viruses and bacteria including COVID-19, SARS and HIV. It is gentle on the hands and helps to remove food fat residues.

“Chefs and kitchen staff are constantly handling foodstuffs, hot dishes and sharp utensils which means their hands are subject to constant wear and tear,” said Pilar. ”And the fact that they need to wash their hands frequently means that issues such as skin chapping and soreness can be a problem.

“Healthy hands contribute to the well-being of staff which is key to a harmonious kitchen environment. The fact that Tork soaps are highly effective while also being gentle on the skin allows kitchen workers to focus on what they do best – preparing and serving safe food.”

All three products are perfume-free and come in factory-sealed 1,000ml refill containers equipped with hygienic single-use pumps. And the recyclable bottles collapse as they empty which dramatically reduces the volume of waste produced.
