UK estate agency and property services provider, Connells Group, has selected office design and fit out specialist, Woodhouse, to deliver its new headquarters at Witan Gate House in Milton Keynes.
The new, central hub is designed to support greater collaboration, agile working, operational efficiency and a stronger sense of connection across the business. The new headquarters will include excellent facilities and accommodate more than 500 employees, creating a unified environment that reflects the One Connells Group ethos, scale and ambition.
Following a collaborative early engagement, Woodhouse developed a clear understanding of Connells Group’s vision, brand and operational requirements. This insight has shaped a workplace concept that not only supports the way teams work today, but also anticipates future needs as the organisation continues to evolve.
At the heart of the scheme is the idea of a “destination workplace” — a headquarters designed around people, offering a variety of settings that encourage collaboration, productivity and wellbeing. The design will bring together open-plan work neighbourhoods, informal collaboration areas, quiet zones and vibrant social spaces, creating a dynamic and flexible working environment.
Drawing inspiration from Connells Group’s core business, the design concept is “A Touch of Home”, creating a warm, welcoming space that connects with their mission of “Making Homes Happen”. Spaces throughout the workplace will reflect familiar settings — from welcoming, living room-style collaboration areas to kitchen-inspired breakout spaces and quieter study zones — helping to create an environment that feels both intuitive and engaging.
The headquarters will span approximately 60,000 sq ft across multiple floors and will incorporate a range of adaptable spaces, including a flexible training suite capable of hosting larger events, integrated executive areas that promote accessibility and transparency, and a variety of settings to support different working styles.
Woodhouse will lead the project through its full lifecycle. Careful consideration is being given to integration with the existing building, sustainability-led product selection and the creation of an inclusive environment that supports a diverse workforce.
