Grosvenor Services has retained and extended its partnership with Westfield London, Europe’s largest shopping centre, in a new five-year deal.

The facilities management company has worked with Westfield London as its cleaning services provider for the past five years, with a team of over 230 employees on site.

Grosvenor Services plays a key role to ensure high standards are delivered to enhance customer experience.  With a deepened focus on health and safety post-pandemic, the partnership will be expanded to include new innovative machinery to maximise the output of the cleaning operation and ensure all new equipment is sustainable and environmentally friendly.  In addition to its cleaning services, as part of the expanded contract, Grosvenor will also take on the centre’s waste management operations in a new partnership with Veolia.

Lindsey McKendrick, who oversees all of Grosvenor’s operations at the shopping centre said: “I’m so pleased that we will be expanding our relationship with Westfield London. As we rebuild post-pandemic, it’s so important that people feel safe when getting back out there to do their shopping, have a meal with friends, go to the cinema and so on. Ensuring a great experience for customers and keeping people safe has always been a core value of ours and a key component of the services that we offer, and it is a value that the team at Westfield London also share. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Westfield London.”

Jacinta Rowsell, General Manager, Westfield London, commented: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Grosvenor Services to deliver the very best of cleaning services at Europe’s Largest Shopping Centres. The comfort of our guests and standard of hygiene levels is of utmost importance and I have no doubt that the Grosvenor team onsite will continue to offer the best service levels with sustainability at its core – something that is key for Westfield London and our customers.”

The expansion of the Westfield relationship is a valuable element of growth, as Grosvenor will work closely with Westfield on delivering exceptional service and social value via sustainable goals as part of Westfield’s Better Places 2030 plan.

Bernard McCauley, Group Managing Director of Grosvenor Services, feels that only great things lie ahead for the organisation. He said: “We are embarking on an exciting new chapter for our business, and it is great that we are able to work with partners like Westfield London who share our values and vision. Our focus will be on continuing to provide the highest standards of cleaning and waste management consistently throughout the life of the new contract and in providing a great experience for Westfield Guests. Strong relationships have long been a priority of ours, and we strive to efficiently use resources and implement new and sustainable processes wherever possible.  We intend to bring these practices into our Westfield London partnership to support their objective of making their centres more sustainable over the coming years, and playing our part towards making our world a greener place for all.”
