infinitSpace opens second Netherlands location

Flexible workspace creator infinitSpace is launching its second Netherlands location under the ‘beyond’ brand in Amsterdam’s new Republica mixed-use development, designed by Marc Koehler Architects.

‘beyond Republica’ consists of 2,000-square-metres of workspace spread across three of the development’s six buildings: The Joker (a multifunctional commercial space for businesses and creatives), Small Girl (an office building), and Hotel (a 116-room boutique hotel and a rooftop pool, restaurant and bar). Republica’s other three buildings are primarily residential.

infinitSpace, which partners with landlords to transform traditional office space by creating and operating white-label flexible workspace brands, has entered a partnership with landlord and real estate developers Banlieu BV and Vink Bouw to design and now operate the workspace. The workspace is open on 5 February 2024.

beyond Republica will offer coworking and private office memberships, all with flexible terms and suitable for a range of needs, from individuals up to large teams.

In addition to the development’s top amenities like a rooftop pool, outdoor spaces, retail outlets, a cafe and event space, members will benefit from ultra-fast WiFi, IT support, an on-site community team, and a best-in-class workspace app. Additional facilities will include premium quality coffee, breakout spaces, private meeting rooms, phone booths, and a comprehensive events programme.

beyond Republica is in the vibrant, up-and-coming neighbourhood of Buiksloterham in Amsterdam-Noord, an area known for its industrial history but renowned today as a creative community. It is accessible by a free ferry, connecting Amsterdam-Noord to the city centre within a few minutes.

Wybo Wijnbergen, CEO and Co-founder of infinitSpace said: “Time and time again, we have seen what beyond workspaces can do for their members. They provide people with the space and environment to innovate and collaborate, with a powerful feeling of community – not just across that workspace, but across our global network, which is connected through a single app.

“And now, all these fantastic benefits are combined with the Republica developments’ enviable amenities and location! We can’t wait for our new members to experience everything our newest location has to offer.”

Machiel Brautigam, Business Owner at Banlieu BV, commented: “We’re so proud of what has been achieved so far with this project. Indeed, the values of beyond Republica marry perfectly with the spirit of the wider complex – championing community, connectivity, innovation and entrepreneurship.”

Since its first opening in March 2022, infinitSpace has now launched a total of seven flexible workspaces globally. beyond Republica is infinitSpace’s second ‘beyond’ location in the Netherlands – following beyond Zuidtoren – and its fifth across Europe.
