Morris & Spottiswood has appointed Sarah Rathburn as a framework manager to support its recent appointment to a number of public sector frameworks servicing the North of England. This key appointment aims to ensure a client-focussed delivery strategy, with Rathburn providing support, guidance and a consistent point of contact to framework clients, while also supporting the Morris & Spottiswood preconstruction and construction teams to ensure delivery exceeds clients’ expectations.
Rathburn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team, having worked across a number of key public sector frameworks. With extensive history working for local authorities in both design and project management roles, she has a particular specialism in project delivery in the education sector. Rathburn’s initial role will be to lead Morris & Spottiswood’s recent appointment to the Yorbuild Framework, ensuring client engagement and successful project delivery, while also growing and developing the wider team to understand all of the framework’s key drivers and target outcomes.
The Yorbuild appointment follows other framework wins, including Crown Commercial Services (Department for Work & Pensions and Government Property Agency), Procure Partnerships, Pagabo, and NHS Shared Business Services across the north of England, the Midlands and Scotland.

With the current economic crisis resulting in higher prices and more of a squeeze on resources, FMs need to ensure that they have robust building and maintenance services in place to control costs and reduce the need for emergency repairs. When it comes to drainage and plumbing there are also the challenges of dealing with extreme weather, from droughts to flooding, the need to meet stringent regulations and to avoid causing environmental damage.
