TRANSITIONING TO A MORE BUSINESS RELEVANT FM – DISCUSSING BIFM’S PROPOSED NAME CHANGE
On 1st March BIFM announced its intention to change its name to the Institute of Workplace and Facilities management. It argues that the surge in recognition by organisations of the impact that physical environments have on their people’s performance is an opportunity for the FM profession to shine.
Chris Moriarty will assess that opportunity, exploring the steps required to take full advantage, the skills and insight the profession requires moving forward and the tools available to help.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & WELLBEING ZONE
New for 2018 the Facilities Show will launch a new area dedicated to the Health & Wellbeing of the workforce. With a focused theatre delivering thought provoking and tactical seminar sessions on how FMs can benefit from enhanced productivity while putting employee health and wellbeing at the forefront of company culture. Plus, a host of key suppliers will display practical approaches to spaces and work stations for the betterment of the workforce.
FACILITIES GAMES ARCADE
Back by popular demand, the Facilities Games Arcade is an area of the show floor not to be missed. Providing all FMs with the opportunity to grow their professional community among like-minded peers over a game of air hockey, table football or playing arcade games.
