Powerhub Solutions is a UK energy efficiency company helping facilities managers and building operators across commercial, healthcare, manufacturing and hospitality sectors reduce energy consumption, cut costs and meet net zero and compliance obligations. Founded in 2021 by Managing Director James Beck, the business has grown by 160% year on year and now serves over 3,000 sites across the United Kingdom.

Powerhub operates across four proven solutions: voltage optimisation, KBR refrigeration energy savings, commercial solar PV with battery storage, and Pulse, its proprietary Energy Management System. Pulse gives facilities teams real time visibility of energy consumption across their entire estate, with half hourly data, automated alerts and compliance ready reporting built in, removing the manual burden of energy data collection and making ESOS and SECR compliance significantly more straightforward. Beyond monitoring, Pulse actively identifies saving opportunities and gives operators the control to act on them directly.

All four solutions are designed, installed, commissioned and verified entirely by Powerhub’s own team of engineers, with no subcontractors involved at any stage. This gives facilities managers a single accountable partner, clear reporting lines and independently verified evidence of the savings delivered across every site.

The business has helped clients save over 166.5 million kWh of energy and avoid more than 55,000 tonnes of CO2 to date. Its client base includes Greene King, The Gym Group, Punch Pubs, Cygnet Hospital and Costa, among others.

In 2026, Powerhub secured a £500,000 growth investment from River Capital through the North West Business Growth Loan Fund, with a further £250,000 approved in principle, supporting the continued development of its technology platform and national expansion.

Powerhub is based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and operates across the United Kingdom.

The End of Traditional Façade Cleaning: Towercraft’s Robotic Era Begins

Towercraft is a technology-driven company specialising in robotic façade maintenance and inspection solutions for buildings. As buildings become taller, more complex and increasingly sustainability-focused, facilities managers are under growing pressure to maintain façades safely, efficiently and with minimal operational disruption.

Traditional cleaning methods can often create inconsistencies in quality, require significant working-at-height exposure and, in some cases, contribute to long-term surface wear. Towercraft was established to offer a more controlled, preventative and sustainable alternative.

Rather than operating as a conventional cleaning company, Towercraft combines remotely operated robotic systems, low-pressure maintenance methods and digital inspection visibility to support modern façade management strategies. The company’s solutions are designed for glass, aluminium, composite and coated metal façades commonly found on office towers, hotels, logistics facilities and mixed-use developments.

A key part of the Towercraft methodology is avoiding aggressive high-pressure washing that may damage seals, coatings or sensitive façade materials over time. Instead, the company uses controlled low-pressure application techniques, specialist brush systems and environmentally conscious cleaning solutions designed to reduce water consumption and surface stress while improving cleaning consistency.

The operational process combines dry-cleaning and deep-cleaning stages to remove contamination before carrying out a deeper surface treatment and rinse. Alongside cleaning, the robotic systems also provide inspection visibility across difficult-to-access areas, helping facilities managers identify contamination build-up, coating deterioration and potential maintenance risks at an earlier stage.

Towercraft’s vision is to help move the FM sector away from reactive cleaning approaches towards a more data-driven, preventative and asset-focused façade maintenance model. By combining safety, sustainability, operational efficiency and façade protection, the company aims to deliver next-generation maintenance solutions for modern buildings.
